On Windows 2000 we have found that after installing service packs the Brooktrout wave drivers are no longer visible under Start... Settings ... Control Panel ... Sounds and Multimedia ... Hardware.
This procedure details how to manually install the Brooktrout wave drivers:
1. Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Hardware -> Add/Troubleshoot a Device-> Add a New Device -> Select Device from List
2. In Hardware Type select "Sound, Video, Game Controllers" from the list
3. Click "Next"
4. In Select a Device Driver just click "Have Disk"
5. Specify location of wave driver OEMSETUP.INF (default "c:\rht\wave\")
6. Click "OK"
*** Ignore "Digital Signature Not Found" by clicking "YES" ***
7. In Select a Device Driver now select "Brooktrout TAPI Express" from the list
8. Click "Next"
*** IF YOU SEE "UPDATE DRIVER WARNING" PLEASE IGNORE ***
9. In Start Hardware Installation click "Next"
*** Ignore "Digital Signature Not Found" by clicking "YES" ***
10. In Files Needed specify location of RHTWAVNT.DRV (default "c:\rht\wave\")
11. Click "OK"
12. Click OK on Brooktrout Wave Config Dialog
13. Click "Finish"
