Instructions for installing the Dialogic drivers and cards are available from Dialogic's website http://support.dialogic.com. Dialogic based systems are particularly troublesome to configure and we strongly advise buying the hardware from a distributor that will be able to help you resolve installation issues. We recommend CT Distributing (www.ctdistributing.com, contact Ashley at +1 864-527-9600).
To install Dialogic hardware on Windows NT/2000/XP, do the following:
Install the Dialogic card in the system and reboot. Ignore all the "New Hardware Found" messages by selecting Cancel.
Install the Dialogic system software downloaded from http://support.dialogic.com .
Reboot and start DCM (Dialogic Configuration Manager). Your board must be detected and active (green) in order for the TAPI drivers to install correctly.
Go to Start ... Settings ... Control Panel ... Phone and Modem Options. Click the Advanced tab. If the Dialogic Generation 2 Service Provider for NT is not visible, click Add and then click Dialogic Generation 2 Service Provider for NT and click Add again.
Select the Dialogic Generation 2 Service Provider for NT and click Configure.
Click Detect Boards. Click the Advanced button and browse the various settings you will need to customize for your phone system. Afterwards, click OK to close the Dialogic TSP Configuration window.
Click Close to exit Phone and Modem Options. The TAPI drivers are now installed and next the wave drivers will be installed.
Still in Control Panel, click Add/Remove Hardware. If asked, say you have already connected the hardware.
In the devices list, select Add a new hardware device. Select install hardware manually selected from a list. Choose Sound, video and game controllers. Click Have Disk, then click Browse.
Select \Program Files\Dialogic\lib\oemsetup.inf and click OK. Continue through the installation. If asked for the path of Dialogic driver file dlgwave.dll, click Browse, and enter \Program Files\Dialogic\lib and click OK.
After clicking Finish at the end of this process, you will need to restart your computer to use the TAPI and Wave drivers.
If after installation there is clicking or gasping in the audio, Go to Start ... Settings .... Control Panel ... Sounds and Multimedia and find the Dialogic Wave Drivers. Find Properties / Advanced Settings and change the buffer size to 1024.
