Getting Started

Welcome to Active Call Center!

This software will allow you to fully integrate your computer and voice modem or telephony card to create exciting telephone applications.

Active Call Center offers features that until now were only available in programs that cost hundreds or thousands of dollars more. We believe that you will agree that virtually any type of automated telephone application can be configured quickly and easily with the help of Active Call Center.

We offer two approaches to getting started with Active Call Center: a quick-start approach for people in a hurry or experienced computer users and a methodical approach for people with more time. Users that are not in a hurry should patiently proceed through the remainder of this book.

Users that are in a hurry, follow the steps below!

Getting Started in a Hurry

Start by reading the entire Introduction chapter.

Work through the Quick-Start Tutorial (don't just read it, do it!).

Experiment with some Example Call Trees that are included with the software.

Scan through the topics in the Essential How-To's and Advanced How-To's chapters. This will give you some idea of the features and tools available in the software.

Read through the rest of the chapter on Example Applications and try to find an application that most closely matches your immediate needs. Use the example or information as a starting point for your own application.
