Initiating Calls from the User Interface

Initiating outbound calls from Active Call Center is easy:

From the menu bar, choose Phone Calls ... Make Outbound Calls. A dialog box titled "Making Outbound Calls" will appear.

Enter the line number to use in the appropriate box. The line number entered should match the line number desired as reported by the modem test (accessed by using Tools ... Test Modems from the menu bar).

In the text box overwrite the words "Enter numbers to call here on separate lines" with phone numbers to dial. Enter one phone number per line. There is no practical limit to the number of phone numbers allowed. All phone numbers must be at least 3 digits.

Click the Make Calls button to begin outbound dialing.

Click Quit to stop or cancel: cancelling while outbound calls are in progress may take several minutes since the "Quit" function does not take effect until the current call has completed.

Importing Lists of Numbers

Any numbers saved in an ordinary text file can be imported: simply open the list of phone numbers in Notepad or other application, then copy and paste the numbers into the list of numbers to dial.
