Static Content
Various content services have a dial-up line that users can call and listen to recent advisory information. Quite often the content provided by these services will change infrequently, perhaps daily, weekly, or monthly. Examples of such services include:
- Information line with hours, directions, and store hours.
- Local weather.
- Recent news headlines.
- Stock market alert hotlines.
- Adult content services.
Configuring such services is easy with Active Call Center. The basic technique is as follows:
- Create a Call Tree that will play the content using Speak variables. Apply password validation or other similar technique in the Call Tree to restrict access to the system.
- Save the content as either a recorded wave file or a text file. The Call Tree should be designed to play the specific wave file or to read the content file and speak it using text-to-speech generation.
